Why is this NZ Pavlova Recipe Teatowel a must-have? Well! Years ago I travelled all around the USA, and I took a pavlova recipe tea towel with me. And where the chance arose, I would make a pav for the people I was staying with, as a 'thank you for having me' and to introduce them to Kiwi culture. Now you can do the same!
You can take it with you on your travels, or you can send it to friends and family overseas, where they can try to make a pavlova themselves.
The pavlova, an NZ creation (even though the Aussies try to say it is theirs!), came about when ballet dancer Anna Pavlova visited Aotearoa in the 1920s. A chef created the dessert in her name. It's become a dessert we make for Christmas, as well as other special occasions.
The teatowel itself is 100% cotton, and has a lovely, quality feel to it.
