This 12cm pounamu greenstone toki manaia necklace is an absolute beauty, and we searched for it because you, our customers, had been asking for a 10cm or larger toki. They are surprisingly hard to find, but we persevered!

The 12cm (4 5/8') toki (adze) is beautifully carved. It has a manaia head engraved into the top surface, with a native NZ paua shell eye. It could be worn with the manaia facing out, or the plain back facing out.

The toki is a symbol of power, wisdom and authority, whilst the Manaia is the Maori guardian spirit, warding off danger and protecting from intruders.

So it is a beautiful piece to own for many reasons.
